It would not be spring in Trion without the Miss Trion Pageant. Last Saturday, sixty young ladies from TCS enjoyed dressing up in their pageantry attire to compete in this year’s contest. At the end of the evening, THS Sophomore Brinlee Brown was crowned this year’s Miss Trion.
Bonnie Fletcher from Chattooga 1180 was this year’s master of ceremonies. This year’s pageant coordinator was TES principal Beth Pelham.
The Trion Band Boosters has been hosting this annual event dating back to the early 1960’s. The Miss Trion Pageant is the band’s largest fundraiser. The Band Boosters would like to thank every contestant and their families for being a part of this year’s event. The Booster Officers also would like to thank all the band students and parents that gave their time before, during, and after the event to make this year’s pageant a success.
The winners of Junior Miss Trion were Miss Photogenic: Jocelyn Mitchell, People’s Choice: Sydney Crane, 2nd Runner Up: Zoey Smith, 1st Runner Up: Sydney Crane, and Queen: Jocelyn Mitchell.
The winners of Miss Trion were Miss Photogenic: Jayci Castro, People’s Choice: Chrissi Woody, 2nd Runner Up: Ansley Abernathy, and 1st Runner Up: Jayci Castro. Last year’s Miss Trion, Gracie Canada, returned to crown 2023 Miss Trion Brinlee Brown.
Brinlee believes that pageants are a great opportunity for anyone. She would like to say, “I think everyone should get the opportunity to feel the excitement of being the Miss Trion Queen!”
